Once we have hauled our wood back to our shop, each piece has a typical drying time of one year before we can attempt to process it. Once a piece has dried, we begin processing it by planing the wood to ensure it does not bow. We then sand down any impurities, taking care to keep the wood looking as natural as possible. To get that nice shine finish on our products we do three separate coats of clear epoxy on the top, bottom, and sides. Each layer of epoxy requires at least 24 hours of drying time, and because of this even our smallest projects can take a minimum of a week to finish.
